Departure and Arrival (Mon)

We gained an hour flying over! It was only 5hrs and some mins instead of 6hrs and 22mins. Beside me was a very nice couple in their 60's I'd imagine. Last time he was to Hawaii was 28 years ago.

Across the aisle sat a modern day hippie. I over heard him telling the lady who also sat in his row, you couldn't help but overhear he was talking a lot and loud, that he and his wife and their 3 year old daughter, her 8ish year old daughter were flying to Hawaii to join his parenting partner-ex-wife and her boyfriend and this man and her teenage daughter, their parents and sister...or something like that.

The flight went well. I couldn't see much out the window - ie. I couldn't see the endless ocean, as I was in aisle seat. So it wasn't uncomfortable flying with no where to land in case of emergency. Alaska flys this route EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. So they know what they are doing.

I got Hawaiian French toast. Pretty good.

  1. That open air airport was totally cool. I've never had any desire to see HI but the airport would be fun to see! (I'm not very much into hot weather all the time!)
